Why one-of-a-kind garments deserve one-of-a-kind- people.

In our workshop we believe that slow fashion deserves fast and deliberate action.  That's why we start from  day 1 with striving quality instead of quantity.  To make each of our pieces,  the process is more or less as follows; Sally first thinks in terms of materials and texture.  Lets talk about materials: We live in a tropical island with limited resources and high temperatures, so comfort, durability and all around quality is what we expect in terms of garments that goes out of our atelier. We became lovers of natural fibres (so close to our own body) so we must order silk or raw linen from makers in foreign countries or organic cotton from Peru. We are also lovers of hand made techniques and artisanal traditions, so we commission local women and paint our own cut out garments or we screen-print them giving a unique character for each piece.

Lets talk about design. Because we think the women as extending her multiples activities with our clothes, our garments came to be wearable between office, beach, dining, party or being mom. Sally letting her creativity loose chooses against the common factor of mass production, to make individual pieces from start to finish with the materials and craft available, maximising originality and incorporating experimentation and flow to this work-love production. You can be sure you are buying something unique.

Lets talk about business: We are a local product with a global vision so we strive to make our good clothes available to any place in the world 24/7 with free shipping. So when we make our products we document them with local models, design visuals in-house and make our own media. We came to have a newsletter where you can subscribe to receive news and promotions and we came with this idea lately.

In our workshop we start to think; How we can change they way that fashion is produced and distributed? How we can alter part of the culture thinking about garments in terms of fads or waves of mass productions and more in terms of steady and daily produce? How we get rid of the idea of fashion as fashion empire and not as garment making? How can more people start to think that we are making something unique for someone  unique as well out there? Our partial solution is One-of-a-Monday and is to offer a new one-of-a-kind garment or accessory each and every Monday morning on a first-come first serve basis. Our long-term solution is to keep making.
