Made in Puerto Rico

Every piece is designed and manufactured in Puerto Rico. Supporting local craftsmanship is central to my practice.

Most of our garments are produced either in our studio or through a small network of skilled seamstresses, pattern makers, and artisans who work from home. This decentralized model allows us to sustain and strengthen garment work on the island, keeping knowledge and care within our own communities.

We work with imported textiles sourced from Japan and the U.S., and we occasionally shop small yardage locally when fabrics of interest become available and a part of our fabrics are also  hand-dyed in the studio.  Our material choices are deliberate—balancing quality, availability, and the desire to build a lasting regional network.

Beyond clothing, we collaborate with local papermakers, graphic designers, and small businesses. Staying regional isn’t just a method—it’s a way to remain rooted in place, and to contribute to a slower, more thoughtful economy.

About Sally

Sally Torres Vega is a designer, educator, and mother of two, based in Cidra, Puerto Rico. With formal training in art, fashion design, and business, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her work—balancing concept, function, and sustainability.

She teaches design at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan and leads private workshops in natural dyeing and textile experimentation. Her practice is deeply rooted in process and place, informed by a belief in design as a tool for both storytelling and stewardship.

Process

We follow a slow fashion methodology, designing within the limits—and possibilities—of what’s available to the studio. Our practice is guided by responsiveness: to materials, to time, and to place.

The studio operates out my studio, Casa/Taller, in the rural hills of Cidra, Puerto Rico. Each collection is created in small batches, often evolving from what’s at hand—deadstock fabrics, natural fibers, and other sourced materials selected for their feel, durability, and beauty.

We aim to build capsule collections that are intentional and interchangeable—designed to be worn across seasons, and to work seamlessly with pieces from past collections.

Longevity is central to our process. We offer repair and re-dye services for most garments, extending the life of each piece and honoring the relationship between wearer and clothing.
